Melon-choly of HaruB(_)(_)bh-ism

It's hard not to notice the hype and fanbase that The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi/Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu has created over the past several months. I checked out the show during and a bit after it's run. While I must admit that it's really good, funny, and took a different approach from the usual (ie. creative), it evidently did not make me a fanboy like most. While I do enjoy the old comedy-drama, something about it just doesn't click w/ me (probably the designs for me personally) and it does not place anywhere near the vincinity of my top fave animes. Anyways, the excuse for that rant is the nonstop barrage of Haruhi media coverage (and to continue my theme...well almost) which ANYONE can find easily w/ a simple search on google, which i would like to present:

Since I'm on a hiatus of posting game news (and undecided), i do want to mention that Xboxyde has a direct feed trailer of Blue Dragon!!! Looking better AND BETTER! A trailer for Chaos Wars is up. The music is awesome, however the graphics and animation are sheeat as expected (when the first screens popped up) :(. And to go w/ my theme on the gamefront. More DOAX2 Famitsu scans from yesterday.

wow, your blog is becomingly ridiculously aesthetically appealing. every post is so colorful! ^.^

Haruhiism is definitely a phenom at the moment, and one i definitely understand. i remember watching the first ep after HUGE raves from a friend in Japan, and became totally hooked! definitely one of the better shows to come out recently, thoroughly enjoyed the 14 ep run

I really liked the show, it's become one of my faves of all time. It's interesting to see you not like it. Anyways, I'm a fan of Mikuru, much like others.

Haruhi is a pretty good show. Definitely original in how it was done. I had to re-watch some episodes after to get better understanding. I especially liked the op and ed songs.

Mikuru-chan wa totemo kawaii!

@ somber: it's not that i didn't like it, juss that i'm not gaga over it. I'm not part of the SOS gang.

@ freakcan: Yeah, i enjoyed the OP song quite a bit (animation-wise and the 'dance'). I think i saw some weird live action one done by a fanboy which left me...x_X.

I second the motion, R8. I'm also no the SOS fan. In fact I was happy that it end. For those Suzumiya haruhi fans, sorry, but I dont think it's as wonderful as people had said. The quality is good, that's all. The story order is a mess (I know its delibrate) and the only thing that keeps me watching is the humour. I still cant understand why the craze on SOS....

I think people would start rebuking me after this was post.
