"Something in the way, mmm"

cue nirvana song. Actually it should be 'some things in the way' according to the pic. Anyways, I've been slow going due to my laziness. This'll be a boring personal rant. But I've just been debating about whether I wish to continue blogging or not. I had this small stuff pic taken about 2 weeks ago but got lazy to write a post about it. Some may know my interests in anime has sorta declined, I still love the art form however. I still buy R1 anime dvds but they're old shows that I've seen on the internet. I haven't been following much "new" anime lately except for Geass once in a while soley cuz of Kimura's involvement and fanservice ;). Future animes that interest me consist of Seirei no Morbito, Ikki DD and maybe Kiddy Grade 2.

That's about it. My anime DVD purchases for the future seem slim compared to years before. Aside from finishing up some series. New stuff for 2007 will only consist of Gunbuster, GitS SAC SSS, Black Lagoon and BakuTen OVA (hopefully Funi will release this soon after the R2 March release as tempting as it is for me). R2 will mostly only consist of My-HiME & My-ZHiME stuff of course. Aside from spending on socials, my purchases are leaning more towards games and mangas than anime, in which the latter was tied w/ games and sometimes surpassed. I'm also saving up to soup up my car. Like a new shifter, wheels and some lights. It's gonna be sick ^^.

On the topic of games, purchases are gonna be slow cuz I gotta finish my HUGE backlog of games, hence why I don't have Rogue Galaxy today, even though it was my most anticipated RPG last year before the delay (yes, moreso than FFXII). I'm no rush to get since it's a Sony published game. Thus, it'll be cheap by the time i'm 1/4 thru my backlog. Oh yes, FFXII, I finished that about a week ago finally. That game is damn long compared to the other FFs and i hardly touched any of the side quests. If i do the side quests, it'll top my longest playtime in a FF game which was 90 hours held by FFVIII (all side quests, cards, weapons included). I probably won't do it any time soon. Though i enjoyed the battle system, the story was so weak IMO Fran was the only thing that kept me going :P.

I do have some stuff coming, so hopefully I'll be updating sooner.

R8, how's life. I was thiking how come u havent post anything in a while. just blog as you go along or wish

I'm at the stage before pharos. I spent most of my time palying the side quest. ie hunts, esper and quests. Wasnt that bad, but the story plot is really bad.

Yeah i did a few hunts at the beginning but then kinda forgot about them. I plan on collecting all the espers in the future but they are SOOOO WORTHLESS in this game (for the main quest at least). I think i only used them twice (one to check it out and the other time cuz I had to, for storyline). It blows my mind that Famitsu gave this a perfect score. Sure, production values were great, and the battle system is awesome, however, the soundtrack sucked ass (by FF standards, Uematsu needs to come back FULLY). But most of all it's one of the weakest storylines in FF. Sure it's "epic" but that's about it. Characters have hardly any personality nor depth. So sad so sad. XIII better have some good character development.

Agree with what u said. Espers are useless. The only time I use belias was to open a door.. ha ha.. I got 8 now with 5 i havent assign since they 're pretty useless.

I'm surprise that Famitsu gave perfect score as well. Agreed with good battle system but the music is not good enough. I didnt even consider getting the OST. I dont like the background setting and storyline is so common. Miss FFVII, FVIII and FFX

I'm only really following Code Geass at the moment as well, though I am watching it avidly because its great. You should probably check out Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou though - the animation for the fights is just plain awesome.

That said, there are quite a few shows coming up in April that I'm cautiously excited about (iMAS!), and I'm still buying a stack of stuff R1 what I've not seen before (though a lot of the better stuff like GunSword and Ippo are wrapping up).

I need to go back and finish FFXII - the utter lack of narrative pull makes it hard for me to sustain interest. The perfect Famistu score doesn't surprise me, though, given their review scores are pretty much completely screwed up these days anyway.

i dig geass, gunxsword, godannar, vg, dpf etc. solely for the hawt designs. the great animation in those shows is always great. ep.15 of geass was totally haaawt (yesh villetta yesh). yeah, i'll be sure to check out tokyo majin as i never heard of it. thanks for the recommendation as you know i love FIGHTING anime.

yeah, the last handful of FFs stories had me hooked and thus i played 'em constantly and finished 'em in 2-3 weeks. 12 didn't have that magic and took me about 3 months on and off. but i also blame school for 1 of the months ^^.
